When you come to a gym to build muscles, you want to tear them down so they will come back bigger, but you do not want to tear down your joints, because they will not repair themselves like muscles do.  Most gyms use machines similar to this chest press machine...

Note that the arm bars are connected to each other and you would push this with a straight forward motion...  This is the old design from the 1960's that has been known to cause tendonitis in elbows...not the kind of equipment you would want to work out on 2 to 3 times a week for the rest of your life!

Most gyms buy equipment in quantity to get special discounts.  Unlike most gyms, we order equipment that we feel is the best in the world for each purpose.  Please note the Technogym machine above.  Its arms are on separate tracks so that if one arm is stronger than the other, we can even that out.  Note they are poised to converge in the middle so that elbows don't get tendonitis.  Which would you rather workout on over your liftetime?  The Dallas Cowboys, Mavericks, and Stars buy what we buy...
