What are Boot Camps? A Boot Camp
is a regimented workout where an instructor's voice tells you what exercise to do and when to do it. It is usually
a timed workout program designed to get the most "bang for the buck" for the time put in.
OUTDOOR BOOTCAMPS Outdoor bootcamps meet
for an hour early in the morning, usually 5am - 6am, in a grassy area where calesthenics can be performed. They are
cardio-oriented programs that use "body weight" for resistance, and concentrate on doing a large number of repetitions
in a group setting. These workouts are recommended for people with relatively low body weight since it is considered
a "high impact" workout which can be hard on the joints and because participants must be able to perform excercises
using their full body weight (push ups, sit ups, etc). Outdoor BootCamps typically start hard and stay hard.

INDOOR BOOTCAMPS Indoor
bootcamps range from 25 minutes to 55 minutes and are performed daily from 8am to 9pm most days. These are a combination
of cardio and resistance training done on machines where you will start with very low impact and very low resistance in the
beginning, and gradually increase the resistance over time. These workouts build muscle and decrease fat and are recommended
for people of all weight ranges since the machines will allow you to start with LESS than your own body weight. For
example, if a 150 pound person performs a pushup, they are "pushing" approximately 100 lbs of weight. On our
indoor program, we would start you at between 11 to 33 lbs instead of the 100 required by a pushup. We then gradually
move that weight upwards over time. This program starts with very low weight and high repetitions, and moves up a little
for each workout. We have a carefully designed program that allows each particpant privacy when performing exercises.
